E. Jarvis has an artistic expression that is guided by things you cannot see. He gives space to internal forces of tangible objects to create an authentic visual language. His paintings allow an experience of universal emotions and sensibilities we all share but are many times beyond human language and often best expressed through the use of color, shape, line and form. Jarvis gives a voice to the process of invisible forces to create compositions that are alive.
In these paintings, subtle form and expression are employed to suggest the complex intricacies of the interior. In contrast, his recent work is largely nonobjective. The abstract paintings explore visual elements (line, mark, shape, and color) and the expressive potential possible when these elements interact with each other.
Through the language of painting, Jarvis can convey an internal concept that allows an individual and unique visual interpretation for each viewer. Over the past Five years, paintings by Jarvis have been well received across the Untied States.
