Eric Unser was raised on a farm in Southampton County, Virginia. After earning a fine art degree from Virginia Tech in 1977, he got married and started a family. Eric worked in many fields – graphic artist, musician, carpenter, and truck driver, before finding the perfect career as a Scenic Artist in Virginia Beach, which enabled him to become a master at faux- finishes and murals. Now Eric has turned his attention back to oil painting. Eric has studied with various accomplished artists such as Perry Austin, Paula Frisbie, Roger Dale Brown, Charles Kello, and Dawn Whitlaw.
