About the Artist
J.C. MOREY
Spanish artist born in 1962 in the province of Alicante in a family linked to the art world since the 60s, which gave him the opportunity from an early age to be in continuous contact with the work of numerous renowned Spanish artists and to meet some of them personally, with whom he was able to learn his techniques and perform his first youth works, mainly oil paintings and portraits.
Parallel to his personal artistic concerns, his professional activity allowed him to attend numerous art fairs both nationally and internationally (Italy, England, USA ...) that put him in touch with new techniques and enriching and inspiring pictorial styles for his own future works.
Self-taught artist has managed to absorb everything learned and constantly evolve to update his work and adapt it to the new avant-garde pictorial trends.
At present, the painter shows his pictorial creation from the preparation of the canvas, the starting point of his work, from it the human figure emerges in an almost playful way in fun crowds with a seabed. The viewer becomes an accomplice of creation by maintaining a constant interest in the small details of the painting. His works focus on volume, perspective and color. Using various techniques, get Mediterranean landscapes with lots of light, textures and three-dimensional effect in a play of shadows and vibrant colors.
Evolution is the constant present of this artist.
His works are in private collections in countries such as U.S.A, U.K, Norway, Sweden, Holland, Belgium, Germany and Spain.
