Based on observation, drawing, and memory, Mairin Wilson's
award-winning work explores her deep connection to the diverse
ecosystems of Southwest Florida. Working primarily in oils, acrylics, and
layered mixed-media paper collages incorporating dry mediums, she
translates the textures and patterns of the natural world onto the canvas
and panel. Her artistic approach is informed by a rich appreciation for
design traditions, drawing inspiration from modern masters while
maintaining a distinct, contemporary voice.
Mairin exhibits widely and her work can be found in private collections
across the country. When she isn't painting, she can usually be found
exploring local trails and nature preserves
