Nancy Jacey is recognized for her large-scale Prismacolor pencil, acrylic and oil paintings. Her technique allows her to realistically capture the world in a vivid, colorful style and bring it to life for her audience. Going big is Nancy’s signature characteristic. Her artwork focuses on the small details in the world around us that we often overlook and brings them to life in exaggerated ways.
In addition to being a professional artist and illustrator, Nancy has been teaching painting and drawing courses to students of all ages since 2003 at various art foundations and centers in Georgia, Florida and Virginia. She currently teaches at her own studio, The Jacey Gallery, located in the west end of Richmond. Nancy graduated from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University where she received her BFA in Studio Art. She later studied at the Savannah College of Art and Design, earning her MFA in Illustration.
Nancy is currently working as a licensed artist for various commercial companies throughout the United States, and her work is featured on home and garden flags, designer tiles, designer mats and wine labels.
