Stephen Harlan’s artwork is bright, bold, and captivating. Mr. Harlan’s art medium is entirely digital and his images are beautiful places that have originated in his imagination. The viewer can not help but want to step right onto the deck, dock, boat, beach or veranda of his fantasy locations which are printed in vibrant color as limited edition giclee prints on canvas and paper.
Expression is the key to my creative process. Subjects vary, but the sense of expression stays the same. Watercolor was my first medium. The magic of transforming blank white paper into colorful paintings brought me back to the easel day after day. I soon began to add other mediums such as crayon and charcoal to my watercolors. This form of mixed media gave me a sense of personal style.
Romanian-Italian artist, Oana Lauric, lived in Paris France for a decade. She is currently working in her studio in Maine. She has a French Architect DPLG degree and a Romanian Fine Arts Baccalaureate. Oana Lauric worked as an architect and a designer for several years, before becoming a professional artist in 2001.
Artist John Maurer’s oil and acrylic paintings are primarily scenes from Europe where he has travelled since 2001. His work is vibrant and spontaneous, with loose expressive strokes of impasto color. Pigment is applied in layers using palette knives, brushes and trowels.
Sharon Rusch Shaver, a resident of middle Tennessee, has been painting professionally since the 1970’s, and continues to receive top awards and recognition in her field. In 2008 the artist was awarded an Artist in Residence at Glen Arbor Art Association in Glen Arbor, MI.
As a fine artist, Miro believes that art, at its best, is seeing life in new and exciting ways, not as rote formula. His paintings are bursting with life, energy, color and constant change. “Just a wonderful mess and a beautiful noise”, as he puts it.
Jian Wu graduated from Art College of Qing Hua University (former Central Art and Crafts College of China) in 1984, relocated to the United States to study western art in 1987 and received Master of Fine Art degree in 2000 from The Academy of Art University of San Francisco while teaching at the University as a member of the faculty.
