HARRY HUTCHINSON — Harry Hutchinson was born 1950 in Kansas City, Missouri. At an early age, Harry's artistic talent was apparent. Encouraged by family and friends, he drew, painted and visited art museums. By the age of ten he filled sketchpads with his drawings, while reading and collecting books about Art.

Harry Hutchinson went on to study Art in college, earning a Fine Arts Degree (BFA) from Missouri State University. Later, he attended graduate classes at the prestigious Kansas City Art Institute - rated as one of the top in the nation.

While in college, Harry spent a year living in Europe, to study painting. After graduation, he went on to a successful career in advertising, while he continued to paint at night and on weekends.

Harry now lives in Florida, where he paints nearly every day. Guided by a classical art education and a lifetime of study, his love for art spans from the masterpieces of the past, to the latest contemporary ideas.

Influenced by Cezanne, Matisse and the Abstract Expressionist, Harry Hutchinson explores the potential of fusing figuration and abstraction. The creative use of color, composition and flattened perspectives are distinct features in his paintings. His works are in private, corporate and celebrity collections.
